Hi Joe,

My apologies for saying your name incorrectly. It had been a long show by the time I got to Listener Mail, and I'm afraid I wasn't reading carefully. Thanks for your feedback and for listening. I have been well and duly chastised, and that will continue on the next episode.

Oh-Ho. I see what you did there Shelly. That's a pretty sneaky trick. You figure if you call a new commenter by the wrong name AND the wrong sex they'll just have to call or write again. Ok, fine. I'll play along.

First off... I'm JoEy Raymond or as most of my internet friends call me, Joe_The Judge. I'll use the latter from now on so as to avoid being confused with Jody.

I truly enjoyed your latest episode. Yes it was a long wait but quality is worth waiting for.

And speaking of quality, if the tomatoes from your garden are good and you have an abundance, share with the neighbors. Don't be ashamed of the size, size doesn't matter. (or so I've heard.) They will be greatly appreciated if they are tasty.

Loved hearing about your newest family member especially with him being an older cat. As you said, too many people overlook the benefits of adopting an older pet and go for the cute and playful puppy or kitten. I like the older ones because you can see their personality.

Lastly, You should get a commission from the liquor distributors. I only drink the occasional few beers at gatherings, or a glass or two of wine at special occasions, but after hearing a few episodes of your cocktail talk segment I shall be looking for a cocktail class to enroll in. You made it sound like a fun and tasty experience. Besides, a REAL-man should know how to make a least 25 to 50 drinks by heart. Even if he doesn't drink them himself.

Well until next time, thanks for another great podcast. If you happen to read this on your next show and don't call me Joe_The Sludge, or some other "mistake", maybe I'll call in my next comment so you don't have to try and read my ramblings aloud.

Sincerely,

I'm always searching for new quality podcasts to download and listen to while at work. This was my first Shelly's Podcast and I have to say I liked it and will definitely download more in the future. Tight work Shelly! regarding front yard gardens: I am always in favor of seeing someone replacing grass with low maintenance and native plants or gardens which make them more self-sustaining. We need more people doing this so good on you for setting an example.
